The Supervillains

The Supervillains are a 5-piece reggae-ska-punk band out of Orlando, FL. Founded in 1997 by original members Skart (vocals, guitar), Dom (vocals, drums), and Jonathan "Smally" (sax). In 2001, the current line-up was solidified with the arrival of Rikki (trumpet) and Tito (bass), both formerly of the legendary Spitvalves. For the last few years, Supervillains have been a staple in the music scene of Central Florida. After selling out both the House of Blues Orlando, and also the Hard Rock Live, Orlando, their album "Horseshoes and Handgrenades" won Album of the Year at the 2002 Orlando Music Awards. With the follow-up album "Jahmerica" to be released in January 2004, Supervillains are out for blood. 2002 turned out to be the most fruitful year to date, as the Villains pulled down a sponsorship with Jagermeister as an official jagerband. In between hangovers, they managed to tour the United States Virgin Islands four times for a total of 8 weeks. A lot of the material on "Jahmerica" was written and inspired by the good times in St. Thomas USVI and the Offshore Bar. Not your typical happy-go-lucky "SKA" band, the Supervillains are out to turn heads and push buttons and trying to reinstate the good name of ska and reggae.
